Dear colleagues, ladies and gentlemen,

It is a pleasure for us to invite you to our 2024 International Symposium «Interstitial Lung Disease – a mirror of senescence». The scientific program was jointly drafted by representatives of the Mayo Clinic, Suva and the Kantonsspital St.Gallen. Renowned experts in the fields of Rheumatology, Genetics, Radiology, Pathology and Pulmonology will provide an overview of recent developments on interstitial lung diseases with a particular focus on genetic predisposition and senescence. The talks will cover the current diagnostic and therapeutic state-of-the-art and challenges for the most prevalent of these rare diseases, namely idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis IPF, connective tissue disease-associated ILD CTD-ILD and hypersensitivity pneumonitis HP. We will also touch on how to avoid potential underdiagnoses of workplace-associated ILD.
